How to Paint a Magic Mushroom

  1. Paint one coat 14 Java Bean to the underside of the mushroom.

  2. Take a damp sponge and wipe away the paint from the top surface, leaving the grooves filled with Java Bean.

  3. Using the Soft Fan, apply 1 coats of 16 Cotton Tail to the top of the mushrooms.

  4. Punch out the two sizes of dots with the paper punches from paint bar.

  5. Dip the paper dots into water and place on top of the mushrooms, in sections where you want white to show through. Place on the paper dots, making sure to press the edges flush to the piece.

  6. Paint over the paper dots with a watered down white, this seals around the edges of the paper to prevent seepage.

  7. Using the Soft Fan brush, apply 3 coats of 74 Hot Tamale to the top of each mushroom.

  8. When your third coat has dulled, but is not completely dry, remove the paper with a pin or a needle tool. This will keep the glaze from chipping.

  9. Use the Soft Fan to apply 2 coats of 86 Old Lace under the tops and stems of the mushrooms.

  10. You Toadily Created a Magic Mushroom.
